Anja Jenny (b. 1986, Fribourg Switzerland) graduated from Istituto Marangoni Paris in 2014, with honors. Her work focuses on a range of mediums including oil painting, wearable art, sculpture and performance. She develops a broad art form in which she sees performance as animated sculpture, in which she herself is both object and subject of her work. In her paintings, she organizes her subjects - drawn from photographic archives and personal stagings - to create distortions whose composition creates new meaning. Her practice questions the issues of contemporary representation with a sense of humor and quirkiness.
